The Viva Foundation developed a programme SAPRI - Sexual Abuse Prevention and Response Initiative that is aimed community-based prevention and response to all forms of gender-based and sexual violence, including domestic violence.

Awareness, advocacy and training are the main focuses of the programme.

15 year Celebration — Viva Celebrated 15 years in 2022

In May 2022 Viva celebrated 15 years!

Viva was founded in 2007 and from its humble beginnings with 17 children in the first Viva Kids Early Learning Centre, in Mamelodi East, has grown to an organisation registered in South Africa, Germany, the UK and Brazil, serving thousands of direct beneficiaries annually and impacting the communities where it operates, as well as the broader society through activism, awareness campaigns and making teaching and courses free available online.

The celebration in May 2022 was attended by 500 children, parents, volunteers and visitors. Every child received a new pair of shoes, a food parcel, 2 meals and snacks. Music, fun activities and lots of laughs made the event a highlight of the 2022 calendar.
